Tips and Tricks

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U contains its very own Tips and Tricks page. This section of the game will show different tips about a variety of characters, modes, items, and stages. The tips are shown in a random order, and also appear during loading screens.

We've managed to compile several of the tips by section, and have even added a few of our own! If you know of a good tip or trick we don't, add it to the wiki!

General Tips

• Some fighters can move while crouched - and can duck under certain attacks and projectiles.
• Using the game attack constantly will decrease its power. Use variety!
• You can grab an item in midair by dodging or attacking at the right moment.
• You can jump on an opponents head to use a springboard. If they are airborne they will fall down and hit the ground.
• You can break your fall when hitting the wall, floor, ceiling after being launched by hitting the shield button. Tapping the shield button will spring your character upright, while tapping shield + a direction will initiate a dodge-roll.
• Tapping the Jump + Attack button will initiate an automatic "Shorthop" attack, letting you perform aerial attacks low to the ground.
• If you are lagging behind in the match, you can sometimes spawn with a Final Smash ready to use.
• If you turn around while running and grab, your grab range will be longer.

Fighter Tips

• Olimar always plucks Pikmin in the order of red, yellow, blue, white, purple
• Olimar will always attack with the Pikmin at the front of the line, look for the arrow to see which one is next.
• Many of Lucario's attacks grow stronger with increased damage. Force Palm deals more damage and has a greater range.
• Marth's dancing blade can be turned into four hit combos. holding different directions will change the angle of the strike. Holding forward has the best launching power.
• Mega Man's side smash increases in size and distance the longer you charge it
• Mega Man's Metal Blade can get stuck on walls and floors and can be used by others.
• Mega Man's Crash Bomber will latch on to most anything - fighters included. It can be passed to another fighter by bumping into them.
• You can grab someone with Mega Man's Leaf Shield active to do even more damage to them.
• Using Rush Coil with Mega Man can give you a boost, but others can use him as well.
• Donkey Kong's Up B won't lift you high, but has a great horizontal distance
• Yoshi's Egg Roll does more damage the longer you move along the ground.
• Yoshi's Bomb does more damage when launched from the ground.
• PAC-Man's Oranges don't deal much damage, but they fly straight and at high speeds.
• PAC-Man's Strawberry flies a little farther than other fruit and bounces twice when it lands.
• The tornadoes created by Meta Knight's Mach Tornado can destroy weak projectiles.
• Shulk's Smash Mode in Monado Arts can launch opponents higher, but deals less damage and makes him susceptible to being launch.
• Palutena's Lightweight move lets her move faster and farther, but makes her easier to damage.
• Once you've grown a tree with the Villager's special move, you can use the ax for cutting other fighters, not just the tree - as long as its still standing.
• The Villager's Lloyd Rocket does more damage when he's riding on it, but you can bail at any time by pressing B.
• Diddy Kong's Monkey Flip will release a fighter quicker in the air than on the ground.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law Official Trailer

Disney+ has released a new trailer for Marvel Studios' She-Hulk: Attorney at Law at San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Streaming exclusively on Disney+ beginning August 17, the new comedy series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. Directed by Kat Coiro (Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9) and Anu Valia (Episodes 5, 6, 7) with Jessica Gao as head writer, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.
